My Inspiration for the day goes to Scott Morris and Regina Spektor. Scott is a friend of mine who is on an LDS mission in Comayaguela, Honduras. He is one of my very best friends and I miss him terribly. He is the one who
introduced me to Regina Spektor ... He would ALWAYS be listening to her in his jeep. When we would go on drives together he would always sing along and I always wished I could sing with him... But I didn't know the words :) Just before his mission, he showed up on my door step with all of his Regina CD's that he had burned for me. Yes... I cried. I was so excited!!! haha and so sad he was leaving at the same time... He was great. He went to Sadies with me my sophomore year and it was the BEST date I have ever gone on. I miss him. Every Sunday Jaden (my brother), Stacia (a friend of Scotts), Benn (one of my good friends) and I would play volleyball in his back yard... haha none of us really were good but we always had SO much fun!

Well, this is my Regina song for the day. I have probably listened to it a billion times just today.

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God
When they’re starving or freezing or so very poor

No one laughs at God
When the doctor calls after some routine tests
No one’s laughing at God
When it’s gotten real late
And their kid’s not back from the party yet

No one laughs at God
When their airplane start to uncontrollably shake
No one’s laughing at God
When they see the one they love, hand in hand with someone else
And they hope that they’re mistaken

No one laughs at God
When the cops knock on their door
And they say we got some bad news, sir
No one’s laughing at God
When there’s a famine or fire or flood

But God can be funny
At a cocktail party when listening to a good God-themed joke, or
Or when the crazies say He hates us
And they get so red in the head you think they’re ‘bout to choke
God can be funny,
When told he’ll give you money if you just pray the right way
And when presented like a genie who does magic like Houdini
Or grants wishes like Jiminy Cricket and Santa Claus
God can be so hilarious
Ha ha
Ha ha

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God
When they’ve lost all they’ve got
And they don’t know what for

No one laughs at God on the day they realize
That the last sight they’ll ever see is a pair of hateful eyes
No one’s laughing at God when they’re saying their goodbyes
But God can be funny
At a cocktail party when listening to a good God-themed joke, or
Or when the crazies say He hates us
And they get so red in the head you think they’re ‘bout to choke
God can be funny,
When told he’ll give you money if you just pray the right way
And when presented like a genie who does magic like Houdini
Or grants wishes like Jiminy Cricket and Santa Claus
God can be so hilarious

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one laughing at God in hospital
No one’s laughing at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God when they’re starving or freezing or so very
poor

No one’s laughing at God
No one’s laughing at God
No one’s laughing at God
We’re all laughing with God

It's kind of corny but I think it has a strong message underneath.

Well, That's it for tonight!

My first post.

So, I was not going to get a blog... But my friend Victoria was telling me about her blog and how much fun she has with it so I decided to try it. So, two weeks ago I went on the trek with my ward. I had so much fun! I would totally do another trek. I had great 'parents' and it was fun getting to know everyone that went.
Last week I went to a music camp for cello called the Southern Utah Music Institute (SUMI). It was a lot of fun and I loved meeting all of the coaches that came from out of town but, all of the music was hard! I had the hardest time keeping up with everything. But, It was fun and I convinced my friend Victoria to go to the camp with me so that made it fun also. I don't think she and I have ever laughed so hard ever!
This week I am helping my mom plan a family reunion. She has a lot of good ideas and I am excited to see how they turn out but I really have no idea what she is talking about most of the time. I am excited to go this weekend though. I get to hang out with my family and get out of work! What is better than that?
